If ever was there an example of art emerging in the midst of misery and difficulties, the living proof is artist Achintya Hazra (Ex-Army). He was fond of drawing since childhood. While growing up due to dire financial situation at home, he had to take up a job to support his family and he chose to join the Indian Army at the age of 19 years and serve the country. This was where another life began for him. He got acquainted with people of different languages and races. His contribution as an Indian Soldier is immense. He has given an excellent account of himself in many operations and border security duties.
