Shabana Quadri hails from Udaipur Rajasthan and she belongs to a family of artists. She pursued master's in drawing and painting from MLS University. About her art, she explains "when I start a canvas, I have no preconceived thoughts or idea, but when I activate my canvas through a simple line, colour texture or a splash of colour, I get carried away with immersive layers of colours and shades which leads me to continue the process and my subconscious mind takes me through the journey of the canvas. I work in many layers and these layers are the essence and flavour of my art. Which makes the composition interesting. The uniqueness of my work is the application of metallic shades which shines through the layers of all the colours. I articulate my art process as a journey where layers play the role of destination. Each layer of colours connects to a new destination of the journey. Every new layer has a shadow cast of the old layer. The immersive layers of colours ooze out and reflect the fine essence of the abstract.
