Sanghamitra Roy Majumder, a self-taught artist from India. Presently residing in Kolkata city of India. She has started her career as a professional artist from last few years. From her toddling days drawing on the walls of her home; painting has ensconced into her soul. She always enjoyed her creative side most. She devoted herself totally in the practice of painting with different medium like Acrylic, charcoal, pencil shades but specially with Watercolor medium. Watercolor is something that she can connect most, it is not the medium to be controlled or manipulated. It’s transparency and spontaneity always very surprising to her. In her opinion creating art is a type of meditation, an active training of the mind that increase awareness and emphasizes acceptance of feelings and thoughts without judgment and relaxation of body and mind. Filling an empty Paper is not a deliberate process for her rather, when she looked at the piece of white paper, she spontaneously connects with it and the flow of colours filled her canvas. Creating an art is consciously deepen her insight about life. Like a Spiritual journey to better understanding of her inner thoughts and painting is just the reflection of her emotion.
